Function Statement

The Finance Department provides accounting, budgeting, purchasing, payroll, treasury and risk management services to the City Administration, the City Commission and other City departments.  These responsibilities extend to externally reporting the financial condition of the City of Adrian to interested parties and stakeholders.  The Finance Department operates under the authority of the City Charter and Michigan Public Act 621 of 1978, the Uniform Budgeting and Accounting Act for Local Units of Government.
