Application Review Schedule
The following schedule is followed when an application is received for review by the Department of Community Development:
- Regular Meeting Dates of the City of Adrian Planning Commission and Zoning Board of Appeals is the first Tuesday of each month. Dates are subject to change, and if needed, a special meeting may be scheduled. The cost to hold a special meeting must be paid by the applicant.
- Location: Meetings are held in the Commission Chambers of City Hall, 135 E. Maumee Street, Adrian, Michigan 49221
- Times: Zoning Board of Appeals - 6:30 pm
Planning Commission - 7:00 pm
- Submitted Applications must meet the following deadlines:
- Submittal Schedule: All applications must be submitted prior to a meeting of the Planning Commission or Zoning Board of Appeals according to the schedule as outlined in the Table on the back of this sheet
- Preliminary Review: The planning office has 7 working days to conduct a preliminary review and obtain comments from other City departments. The applicant is contacted for further information and/or a meeting is held (if needed)
- Determination of Completion: If information is in order, announcements for Public Hearing(s) are posted and submitted to the paper 5 to 15 days before the meeting (if needed)
- Final Review: The planning office has 7 working days to complete a final write-up
- Dissemination of Packets: The distribution of packets to the Planning Commission and Zoning Board of Appeals is 7 days prior to meeting
